In this process, the first step involves the formation of an amide bond between 3,5-dihydroxypyridine and pyrazole to form 3,5-pyrazolidinecarboxamide. The second step is the dehydrogenation of 3,5-pyrazolidinecarboxamide to form PDA with loss of one water molecule.
