Applications (4R,5R)-tert-Butyl 4-(hydroxymethyl)-2,2,5-trimethyloxazolidine-3-carboxylate is an intermediate in the synthesis of 2,4-Bis(acetylamino)-2,4,6-trideoxy-D-galactose (B400155). 2,4-Bis(acetylamino)-2,4,6-trideoxy-D-galactose is a glycopolymer located on the surface of cells that necessary in the immune response of a host. It influences biological functions and effect communication between different cells.
