2-Aminoisobutyric acid ethyl ester hydrochloride (2-AIBA) is a fine chemical that is used as a building block in the synthesis of other chemicals. 2-AIBA is also used as a reagent, speciality chemical and intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, dyes, pigments, and other organic compounds. 2-AIBA is an excellent versatile building block that can be used in complex syntheses to form useful scaffolds.
