Product Information
- ethyl (1R,2R)-2-phenylcyclopropanecarboxylate
Trans,rel-ethyl (1R,2R)-2-phenylcyclopropane-1-carboxylate is a chiral ligand that binds to metal ions to form a homogeneous catalyst. This compound has been shown to be an effective enantioselective imine activation catalyst for ethylene and styrene. Trans,rel-ethyl (1R,2R)-2-phenylcyclopropane-1-carboxylate undergoes bond cleavage in the presence of copper ions to form an imine nitrogen. The resulting molecule has two nitrogen atoms that can bind to other molecules as a ligand. This ligand has been shown to be effective in the formation of diastereomers and enantiopure compounds.
