Product Information
9H-Indeno[2,1-c]pyridazine is a compound that belongs to the group of sterically hindered alkylamines. It has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against some strains of Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis. 9H-Indeno[2,1-c]pyridazine binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit by hydrogen bonding with the hydroxyl group on the indole nitrogen atom. This binding prevents the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
