Description:2-Chloro-N-methoxy-N-methylpyridine-4-carboxamide is a regioselective kinase inhibitor that binds to the ATP binding site of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs). It inhibits their activity by interfering with the phosphorylation of substrates, which are involved in the signaling pathway that activates MAPKs. 2-Chloro-N-methoxy-N-methylpyridine-4-carboxamide has been shown to inhibit the activity of MAPKs at concentrations as low as 1 nM, and has high specificity for some MAPKs over others. This compound also inhibits protein synthesis by preventing peptide bond formation.
