Description

Aminoglutethimide is an adrenocortical steroid synthesis inhibitor that is used for the treatment of Cushing’s syndrome. This drug is an aromatase inhibitor that blocks the production of adrenal steroids. Also, this drug blocks the conversion of androgens to estrogens. Aminoglutethimide has been studied for the treatment of cancers such as breast and prostate.
