Description

trans-2-Methoxycinnamic Acid is a hydroxylated phenolic compound that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on l. acidophilus and k562 cells. It is also a bioactive phytochemical, which can be found in many different plants and fruits. In addition, it has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacterial strain. This compound is also used as an analytical chemistry reagent, especially for the determination of tyrosinase activity. Trans-2-Methoxycinnamic Acid can be found in dimorphic fungi and its matrix effect is responsible for the production of cinnamic acid derivatives. Tyrosinase activity has also been observed in hematopoietic cells and trans-2-Methoxycinnamic Acid is a molecule that plays an important role in tyrosinase activity.
