NE 10790 is a chemical compound that inhibits angiogenesis by targeting the hydroxyl group on the tyrosine residue in vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2. NE 10790 has been found to have antiangiogenic properties and to suppress autophagy. This drug has also been shown to inhibit prostate cancer cell proliferation and viability, as well as skin cancer cell proliferation and viability. NE 10790 is being investigated as a potential treatment for bone cancer and other forms of cancer, such as breast cancer. The molecular docking analysis of NE 10790 with the VEGFR-2 protein has shown that this drug binds to the binding pocket of the VEGFR-2 protein and blocks its interaction with VEGF-A.
