It has been shown to stabilize copolymers and bimodal polymers, as well as being able to react with different monomers. 1-(Prop-1-en-2-yl)-4-(propan-2-yl)benzene can be prepared by cationic polymerization of phenylpropionic acid, which is an enantiomer of 1-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-4-(propane -2,3,-diyldioxy)benzene. This drug also has magnetic resonance spectroscopy properties that allow it to be used as a postulated gel permeation chromatography termination agent.
