1-[(4-Bromo-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl]-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide is a conjugate of the pyrazole ring with a carbohydrazide group. It has been shown to be an effective antifertility agent, and it is also used for the treatment of heart disease. 1-[(4-Bromo-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl]-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide is a divalent compound that reacts with nucleophiles, such as ferrocene, to form a stable reaction product. The nitrite ion can be detected using this reagent in acid solution or in animals. This reagent also gives scintillation when exposed to gamma rays, which can be used for quantitative analysis.
