b-Alanine 7-amido-4-methylcoumarin trifluoroacetate salt is a fluorogenic substrate that can be used for the detection of β-lactamase activity. It is a conjugate of b-alanine and 7-amido-4-methylcoumarin, which has been shown to be sensitive to β-lactamases. This substrate can be used in different types of culture media, such as Luria broth or tryptic soy agar, for the detection of β-lactamase activity.
