3-(1-Ethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylmethyl)-2-thioxo-imidazolidin-4-one is a medicinal preparation that inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi. This compound has been shown to be an effective agent against mosquitoes, as well as a broad spectrum antimalarial drug. 3-(1-Ethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylmethyl)-2 thioxoimidazolidin 4 one also has anti cancer properties, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells by blocking the synthesis of DNA and protein. The mechanism of action of 3-(1 - Ethyl - 1H - pyrazol - 4 - ylmethyl) - 2 thioxoimidazolidin 4 one is not well understood, but it has been shown to inhibit transferase enzymes in some bacterial species.
