Description

H-Asp-Lys-OH is an amino acid that can be found in many proteins and peptides. It is composed of an aspartic acid (Asp) with a lysine (Lys) and hydroxyproline (OH). H-Asp-Lys-OH has been shown to be involved in the development of autoimmune diseases, cancer, and infectious diseases. The sequence of H-Asp-Lys-OH is important for protein folding, which may be due to its intramolecular hydrogen bonds. H-Asp-Lys-OH is also able to bind to calcium ions, which may lead to inflammatory diseases when it binds to proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα).
