1-Amino-1-phenylacetoneHydrochloride is a chemical compound that can be synthesized by the reaction of salicylaldehyde with acetoacetate. It has been shown to inhibit the production of cyclocondensation, fluorescence and photooxidation in heterocycles. This compound also inhibits hydroperoxides, hydroperoxy and ethyl acetoacetate in vessels. 1-Amino-1-phenylacetoneHydrochloride may be used as a substitute for benzoyl peroxide in some reactions. The crystallography of this chemical compound has been studied using x-rays.
