Description:
Ac-Gly-Gly-OH is an organic solution that has been shown to have site specific effects on the oxygen transport in living systems. The reaction rate is increased by a factor of ten when the copper complex from Ac-Gly-Gly-OH is used instead of copper chloride. The uptake is also increased significantly, and the hydrogen bond between copper and water molecules is reduced. This allows for a higher solubility and diffusion coefficient of Ac-Gly-Gly-OH.
