2-Amino-5-cyanobenzoic acid (2ACBA) is an organic compound that is used as a reagent in the synthesis of palladium complexes. 2ACBA is a bidentate ligand that binds to the metal atom and stabilizes it by donating electron density. The complex can be introduced into organic solvents and reacts with phosphines, forming a ligand. It also reacts with copper salts, forming copper complexes. 2ACBA has a chemical formula of C6H4N2O3 and can be synthesized from benzene, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid. This compound has not been studied extensively in humans but animal studies have shown that 2ACBA does not cause any significant adverse effects at high doses.
