Product Information
Boc-Ala-Ala-pNA is an enzyme that degrades proteins in mammalian cells. It is a serine protease, and its activity can be inhibited by acidic conditions. Boc-Ala-Ala-pNA is active at a pH of 6.0 to 7.0, but has an optimal pH of 5.5 to 6.0. The enzyme requires the presence of lysine residues in order to catalyze the hydrolysis of peptide bonds in proteins. Boc-Ala-Ala-pNA is also active against epimastigotes, which are parasites found in the intestine and blood stream, as well as eukaryotes (e.g., yeast) and catalysed by fluorophosphate.
