Description

Bicifadine hydrochloride is a conjugate of bicifadine and hydrochloride. It is used as a pharmaceutical preparation for the treatment of cavity, which is a condition in which the mouth does not have enough saliva to keep it healthy. Bicifadine hydrochloride can be administered by mouth or with an applicator. The drug binds to chloride ions in the mouth cavity and prevents them from being reabsorbed, thereby reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. This medication also has a role in the diagnosis of cystic fibrosis and other fatty acid disorders. Bicifadine hydrochloride may also be used to treat schizophrenia, depression, and bipolar disorder due to its ability to inhibit serotonin uptake into serotonergic nerve terminals.
