It is also used in the hydrazone formation reaction and provides a clean conversion of vinyl bromides to aliphatic bromides. This reagent is stable at low temperatures and has been shown to be efficient in coupling reactions with many different types of organic compounds, including scandium trifluoromethanesulfonate.
