It has been shown to inhibit the growth of mouse tumor cells by inhibiting the activity of acid complex, which is involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA. 3BC also has an effect on cancer cells, as it stimulates epidermal growth factor receptors, leading to cell division arrest and programmed cell death. 3BC has been used for gene therapy to treat cancer and infectious diseases. The drug was administered in liposomes to enhance its stability and reduce side-effects.
