Description

7-Carbethoxy-4-methylcoumarin is a aminocoumarin that exhibits anticancer activity. It is able to inhibit the activity of DPP-IV, an enzyme that degrades insulin in the body. 7-Carbethoxy-4-methylcoumarin has been shown to inhibit cancer cells and lung cancer cell lines, as well as breast cancer cells and cells with diabetes. This compound has also been shown to have anticancer activity in vivo in rats.
