Coumarin175 is a low-molecular weight fluorescent dye that absorbs light at wavelengths of 175 nm. Coumarin 175 is typically used in polymerized populations to study the effects of electron transfer and pyridinium formation on the optical properties of polymers. This dye has been shown to be useful for detecting photochemical reactions, as well as for studying population transfer reactions. Coumarin 175 is also soluble in a variety of solvents, which makes it a useful solvent for injecting.
