Description

D-Cyclohexylglycine is a synthetic, non-protein amino acid. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of proteases such as kallikrein and serine proteases. D-Cyclohexylglycine is also a potent inhibitor of prostaglandin synthetase and may be used in the treatment of inflammation. This compound has been shown to have antimicrobial properties against bacteria, fungi, and yeast. It is also an enzyme inhibitor that prevents the synthesis of proteins from amino acids. D-Cyclohexylglycine is soluble in water at high concentrations and exhibits a molecular weight of 166 Da.
