Description

N-Cbz-L-serine methyl ester is a synthetic chemical that belongs to the group of disulfides. It has been shown to have both anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. N-Cbz-L-serine methyl ester reacts with chloride ions to form a sulfide ion, which then reacts with hydroxyl groups in proteins, leading to the formation of sulfhydryl groups. This reaction can be used as a probe for protein oxidation.
