4-Chloro-5,6-dimethylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine (CDMP) is a pyrimidine derivative that has been shown to have antitumor activities. It is also a radioprotective agent and can be used in the treatment of various types of cancer. CDMP has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of amino acids in tumor cells. This drug was found to be more effective when combined with other drugs such as cisplatin or doxorubicin.
