2-Chlorodibenzo[b,f]oxepin-10(11H)-one is a heterocyclic compound that is composed of five-membered rings. It has high yield and is an elemental analysis. This substance has antibacterial properties and can be used as a substitute for dioxane in the synthesis of carbocycles. The 2-chloro derivative of benzo[b,f]oxepin-10(11H)-one (CBD) was found to have antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria, such as Escherichia coli. The proton nmr spectrum showed the presence of two protons at 7.42 ppm in DMSO-d6 or CDCl3 solvent, which corresponds to the C=O group. The cyclic spectrum showed peaks at 5.95 ppm corresponding to the C=C bond in the ring system and peaks at 3.14 ppm corresponding to the C=C bond
