Description:
5,5-Dimethyl-3-[(4-methylphenyl)amino]cyclohex-2-en-1-one (DMAC) is a colorless liquid that has a sweet odor. It is used in the production of glycol ethers and as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. DMAC has been shown to be uncoordinated, n-substituted, and irradiation resistant. It can be easily converted into its hemihydrate form by heating to 100°C for 2 hours. DMAC is also known to have disordered and microwave properties.
