Product Information

Name:
5,6-Dimethoxyisoindoline
Synonyms:
  • Akos Bb-8789
Description:

5,6-Dimethoxyisoindoline is a novel acetylcholine esterase inhibitor with high affinity for serotonin and dopamine receptors. It has been shown to have anti-cancer properties in vitro. 5,6-Dimethoxyisoindoline is rapidly taken up by cancer cells, which leads to cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase and death of cancer cells. This drug also binds to serotonin and dopamine receptors, which may be responsible for its anti-depressant effects. 5,6-Dimethoxyisoindoline has been shown to have low affinity for other receptors such as muscarinic acetylcholine receptors or α adrenergic receptors.
