It is able to inhibit the growth of skin cancer cells by blocking the action of certain growth factors. 2-(Dicyclohexylphosphino)3,6-dimethoxy-2',4',6'-triisopropyl-1,1'-biphenyl binds to nitrogen atoms and amines in cancer cells and halides in inflammatory diseases. This binding inhibits the formation of reactive oxygen species and causes cell death. The compound also has anti-inflammatory properties.
