Endothelin-1 (11-21) trifluoroacetate salt H-Cys-Val-Tyr-Phe-Cys-His-Leu-Asp-Ile-Ile-Trp is a peptide that is derived from endothelin. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on insulin stimulated glucose uptake in Sprague Dawley rats. This peptide has also been shown to bind to the endothelin receptor and act as a nonselective agonist. Endothelin 1 (11-21) trifluoroacetate salt H-Cys Val Tyr Phe Cys His Leu Asp Ile Ile Trp, when incubated with cells, had a maximal response at micron concentrations.
