Description:
4-(3-Ethyl-3-methyl-2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl)-3-fluorobenzenesulfonamide is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme IL-10. It has been shown to inhibit IL-10 production in human monocytes and induce apoptosis in mouse macrophages. 4-(3-Ethyl-3-methyl-2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl)-3 fluorobenzenesulfonamide also inhibits the activation of T cells by inhibiting antigen presentation. This drug may be useful for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
