Description:

Fibrinopeptide A is a peptide that is released from the fibrinolysis of fibrinogen. It can be used as a blood marker for the diagnosis of bowel disease and primary pulmonary hypertension, but not for other diseases such as infectious diseases. Fibrinopeptide A has been shown to be an effective model system for studying thrombin-mediated fibrin polymerization in vitro. This drug also can be used as a tool for investigating the disulfide bond in fibrinogen.
