Fmoc-D-Asp-ODmb is an albumin conjugate that can be used as a diagnostic tool for Alzheimer's disease. It is a cyclic peptide with homologous sequences to the amyloid precursor protein (APP). This albumin conjugate binds to APP and can be detected in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with Alzheimer's disease, which may help diagnose this condition. Fmoc-D-Asp-ODmb has also been shown to stimulate antibody production in animal models, leading to the development of a vaccine for Alzheimer's disease. The albumin conjugate binds to fibrillar amyloid plaques and extracellular deposits of beta amyloid protein, which may also be used as a diagnostic indicator for Alzheimer's disease.
