Fmoc-L-Ala-OSu is a peptidomimetic that is used in the synthesis of neuropeptides. It is synthesized through the solid-phase synthesis of N-protected amino acid derivatives and subsequent coupling to form linear peptides. Fmoc-L-Ala-OSu has been shown to be an efficient reagent for the synthesis of polypeptides. This product also has high yields, as well as a low number of impurities. Fmoc-L-Ala-OSu is used to synthesize analogs of thiohydantoin and piperidine, which are insecticides and polypeptide hormones. The iminium intermediate can be converted into an imidazoline using piperidine.
