Fmoc-O-tert-butyl-L-serine 3,4-dihydro-3-hydroxy-4-oxo-1,2,3-benzotriazine ester is a pharmacological agent that inhibits the enzymolysis of peptide chains. It is a reaction product and has been shown to have antiallergic properties in animal studies. Fmoc-O-tert - butyl - L - serine 3,4 - dihydro - 3 - hydroxy - 4 - oxo - 1,2,3 - benzotriazine ester binds to the carboxyl group of amino acids and blocks the carboxyl group from reacting with hydrogen ions. This prevents the release of carbon dioxide and ammonia from amino acids. The pharmacological activity of this agent has not been confirmed in humans.
