Fmoc-Gly-(Dmb)Gly-OH is a synthetic peptide that modulates cellular activity. It encompasses a wide range of activities, such as cancer cell growth and restenosis, fibroid tumors and bowel disease. Fmoc-Gly-(Dmb)Gly-OH has been shown to be an effective chemotherapeutic agent in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration and retinopathy. It also inhibits inflammatory bowel disease and infarction by restricting the production of inflammatory cytokines, such as TNFα, IL1β, and IL6. Fmoc-Gly-(Dmb)Gly-OH can be used to treat endometriosis by inhibiting angiogenesis in the uterus.
