Description

(4-Fluorophenyl)methanesulfonyl chloride is a reactive compound that is used as a catalyst in organic synthesis. It can be used to cleave esters, nitriles, amides, and sulfones. The electron spin resonance spectroscopy of this compound has been studied extensively. The spin resonance experiments have shown that the chemical shift of (4-fluorophenyl)methanesulfonyl chloride is between 1.3 and 1.5 ppm. This compound can also be used as a solvent for organic reactions due to its high boiling point and low solubility in water.
