H-Glu-Glu-Glu-OH is an amino acid sequence that has been shown to have low toxicity and a high therapeutic index. The carboxyl terminus of H-Glu-Glu-Glgol OH is deprotonated, which allows it to bind to the cell membrane surface of cancer cells and inhibit their growth by interfering with protein synthesis.
