H-Ile-Pro-Pro-OH is a peptide that is an inhibitor of the enzyme fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), which degrades the endogenous cannabinoid anandamide. It has shown to have antihypertensive activity in humans and CD-1 mice, with inhibitory properties on the vasculature. H-Ile-Pro-Pro-OH has been shown to decrease blood pressure and heart rate in both species. This peptide also has a physiological effect on blood pressure, as well as other clinical effects, such as increased diastolic pressure in mice.
