Product Information
- 1-Isoquinolinecarboxaldehyde
Isoquinoline-1-carbaldehyde is an inhibitor of the enzyme sodium/potassium -ATPase, which is involved in the biosynthesis of ATP and other metabolites. Isoquinoline-1-carbaldehyde binds to the enzyme's active site and irreversibly inhibits its activity. It has been shown to be effective against Streptococcus faecalis and has antitumour activity in cells. This drug also specifically binds to dna template as well as synergistic cells, leading to cell death by inhibiting DNA synthesis.
