Product Information
2-Iodopyridine-3-carboxylic acid is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the tyrosine kinase domain of receptor proteins, which are involved in cellular signal transduction. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice with epithelial cancers, and is being investigated as a potential therapeutic for other cancers. 2-Iodopyridine-3-carboxylic acid can be used as an inhibitor compound to modulate the activity of the receptor protein. This inhibition leads to reduced cell proliferation and cancer cell death. The uptake of this drug into cells is enhanced by fluorine, which may be due to its structural similarity with 2-iodopyrimidine.
