Description:
H-Leu-Leu-OMe·HBr is a hydroxamic acid derivative that is inactivated by hydrolysis. It has shown to be an inhibitor of mechanistic target of rapamycin (MTOR) and autophagy, which are cellular processes important in the regulation of cell growth. This drug also binds to the DNA binding protein, Galectin-3, and prevents it from activating proinflammatory cytokines. H-Leu-Leu-OMe·HBr also inhibits the polymerase chain reaction, which is important for DNA replication.
