Product Information
Lys-Trp-OH acetate salt is a tryptophan derivative that has been shown to have antioxidant and antinociceptive properties. It has been shown to reduce the production of nitric oxide in macrophages, which may be due to its ability to scavenge reactive oxygen species. Lys-Trp-OH acetate salt also inhibits the activity of phospholipase A2, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of membrane phospholipids. This mechanism of action may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
