Lanreotide acetate salt H-D-2-Nal-Cys-Tyr-D-Trp-Lys-Val-Cys-Thr-NH2 acetate salt (Disulfide bond) is a peptide hormone that binds to the voltage dependent calcium channels. It is used to treat acromegaly, carcinoid syndrome and infectious diseases. Lanreotide acetate has been shown to inhibit the growth of solid tumours in animal models. Side effects of lanreotide acetate include cardiac effects, such as QTc interval prolongation, and somatostatin release. It also has toxicity studies for use in humans.
