Description:
Methyl acetoacetate is a sodium salt of acetoacetate that has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against melanoma cells. This compound is stable in solution and has been found to react with the hydroxyl group of phospholipids, leading to the formation of stable complexes. Methyl acetoacetate has also been shown to inhibit epidermal growth factor (EGF) and exhibit anti-inflammatory activity.
