- Quinoline, 7-methoxy-4-[(6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazin-3-yl)methoxy]-
7-methoxy-4-((6-phenyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazin-3-yl)methoxy)Quinoline (MHTQ) is a glp-1 analogue that is used to treat bowel disease. The MHTQ molecule has been shown to be more potent than exendin 4 at stimulating the secretion of glucagon in intestinal cells and other tissues. MHTQ has also been shown to suppress the inflammatory response by inhibiting the production of proinflammatory cytokines like IL-8 and TNFα. It may also inhibit cancer growth by blocking hydrogen bonds between DNA bases and proteins, which prevents cell division. This drug has not been tested for safety in animals or humans because it is still being developed.
