Description

H-alpha-Me-L-Leucine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that binds to and inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase enzymes. H-alpha-Me-L-Leucine has been used as a chromatographic reagent for the analysis of biological samples, such as plasma and urine. It is also used in the preparation of bowel disease samples for histological examination. H-alpha-Me-L-Leucine is an effective inhibitor of syncytial virus infection in cell culture, and has been shown to inhibit toll receptor signaling in cells. This agent may also be used to study autoimmune diseases by blocking the expression of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL1β, IL2, IL4, and IL6. The use of H alpha Me L Leucine can be beneficial in studying metabolic disorders because it can inhibit the enzyme phospholipase A2. It may also be used to study plasma mass spectrometry
