Osteogenic Growth Peptide (OGP) is a protein that is secreted by cells in the bone, cartilage and other connective tissues. It has been shown to promote osteogenesis in vitro and in vivo. OGP binds to the extracellular matrix and stimulates the production of bone-forming cells such as osteoblasts and chondrocytes. OGP also plays a role in inflammation by inhibiting bacterial growth. In addition, it has been shown to stimulate the production of colony-stimulating factor, which plays a role in the immune response.
