Description

Propane-1-sulfonyl chloride is an antimicrobial agent that is used to treat bowel disease and cancer. It is a pyrimidine compound with anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of acetylcholinesterase. Propane-1-sulfonyl chloride has been shown to inhibit the mcl-1 protein and nitro groups in inflammatory bowel disease. It also has been shown to crosslink proteins and block the formation of amide bonds, which is important for the development of autoimmune diseases.
